2.1.4-rc-20140102 RC Test (Happy New Year)

Dear All,

new features since 2.1.4-rc-20131224:
  - Bug 934 NEWT: Add support for custom Application/Window Icons
  - Bug 935 NEWT: Add support for custom Pointer Icons

Since we like to end the 2.1.* cycle w/ a 'good' release,
i.e. one which works everywhere without major bugs, here is a RC:
