Build JOGL on CentOS 4.4 (older OS)

Has anyone built JOGL on CentOS 4, or a comparable distro version?

We recently moved to JOGL 2 to be able to run on Java 7 on Mac, and the same code runs headless in our production env on CentOS 4.4.  The current JOGL natives won't run in that env, so we looked at building it ourselves, and haven't been able to.  I know it's fairly old, and we are in the process of upgrading, but we'd like to get it running sooner than our upgrade.  

If there is a 32/64 bit binary built on an older kernel, or a list of dependencies to be able to build, we can use either.

There is a dependency list at http://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Required_developer_packages, though I'm not 100% sure it'll all be correct for CentOS 4.4. Detailed command line build instructions are at http://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Building_JOGL_on_the_command_line.
