I just wanted to showcase my coding skills in case someone wants to raise my status on the Jogamp coders ladder. ;)

Nice job. I hope that such features will be easier to support under Android 1 & 2 when we have a real JVM for Android. PhoneME Advanced (which supports Android 2.2 and later) and Avian are nice sources of inspiration. A separate JVM would solve this kind of problem, you could package it with your application, we could include some things of the JSR 82 (?)... Such a JVM + JOGL 2.0 would allow to have a build-in support for all bluetooth devices.
