SWT GLCanvas status update

Hi,

could anyone update me about the status of the effort to build a jogl-based swt glcanvas?
I.e. what's done already and what's missing to make it usable?

Hi Carlo,

I haven't seen anything lately -- maybe Sven is too busy working on getting JOGL 2 ready for the official release  I didn't want to start hacking on that code yet myself, because I wasn't sure if Sven had it to a point where he'd appreciate me changing it.

Wade, sure you are welcome!

Maybe have a chat how we integrate it, ie having something like
our AWT GLCanvas for SWT - or a NewtComponentSWT like we have this NewtCanvasAWT.

Both are great to have I guess.

Yes, I am busy with graph/curve/font, Android, general JOGL and other stuff.
SWT is currently not my priority .. as you know.
But such stuff is for sure always welcome, hence our technical background work.

Could you tell us more about your progress in Android support? I feel quite sad, I'm very busy with potentially judiciary problems and I cannot contribute to open source projects now, even mine. However, if you have something to test, let us know. My HTC Dream G1 with Android 1.5 still works. Good luck.
