I am just started to evaluate jogl to see if it is a good fit for our application. we have a Java medical application needs to display CT images. I want to know is there any good open source applications in medical image display side can show me how it looks like regarding the performance and stability.

Look at the Java3D section, I remember that several developers (proudly :D) posted screen captures of their medical applications. I remind that Java3D 1.6 uses JOGL 2 for its rendering.
