if you followed the instructions on
http://jogamp.org/jocl/doc/HowToBuild.html

you should have following directory structure:

    /home/dude/projects/jogamp
    /home/dude/projects/jogamp/gluegen
    /home/dude/projects/jogamp/jogl
    /home/dude/projects/jogamp/jocl
                            

with the lastest version of each project from the repository.

If you don't have any older versions of gluegen or jogl somewhere in your path (common problem e.g. http://jogamp.762907.n3.nabble.com/jogl-won-t-build-missing-DoubleBuffer-tp1444049p1452742.html or http://jogamp.762907.n3.nabble.com/Another-java-lang-NoClassDefFoundError-tp1456525p1464220.html)... it should just work fine.

I'm not too sure what build of gluegen I have on my CLASSPATH, I tried echo $CLASSPATH and nothing showed up, is this right, most of the time I spend developing in netbeans so don't really set many things to the system classpath. I'll have a pop with the jar files you pointed me at, but it would be nice to resolve this issue and get a build to work.
