For me, it is surprising as I would thought that a driver in a 2017 Linux is something so modular that it has no problems with a separate driver of a separate device.
The way to use OpenGL on Linux with GPU cards from multiple vendors such as Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Vivante and Nvidia at the same time is to use the freesoftware Mesa3D OpenGL driver implementation. Mesa3D is modular and is the driver supported by the Linux distributions.
