2 Questions of GitHub and Ardor3D

ElvJOGL
Hey,

Question of GitHub: GitHub does it cost only $7/month? is that per project or for as many projects as you may have?

Question on Ardor3D:

1. what is it?
2. how do I get it?
3. Commonly, what would I use it for?

Thanks.

I can answer on the github :p

Github is free as long as you have public repository, if you want private ones, you have to pay.

A github-style alternative is gitlab, you can have private and it is free

Can you tell me about Ardor3D?

Is it like a JMonkeyEngine (game engine type thing)?

"JogAmp's Ardor3D Continuation" is very much like JMonkeyEngine, though not aimed at games as much, Julien can tell you more, the original was used by NASA on mars, possibly by Matt Damon...

Why not reading my main article about JogAmp's Ardor3D Continuation?
http://gouessej.wordpress.com/2014/11/22/ardor3d-est-mort-vive-jogamps-ardor3d-continuation-ardor3d-is-dead-long-life-to-jogamps-ardor3d-continuation/

and this?

If you still have some questions, let me know.

N.B: Ardor3D != JogAmp's Ardor3D Continuation
dead != alive

P.S: JogAmp's Ardor3D Continuation is a general purpose 3D engine written in Java but it can be used in games (it's used in mine). It's actively maintained and developed but it's less active than JMonkeyEngine and its community is smaller. In my humble opinion, keep in mind that there are numerous members of community who blow hot air (i.e lots of people are very active on some forums but they aren't very helpful, they just talk) and more than 95% projects of games just end in the graveyard.
