Obsolete JOGL plugin for Eclipse

Hi

Could we contact the author of this plugin in order to update it or remove it?
http://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/jogl-plugin-eclipse

Our competitor has an up to date plugin, we have to do something. As far as I know, GEF3D has never released its JOGL based implementation, we have to encourage people to use JOGL and this obsolete plugin above doesn't help. Best regards.

Hi

I will make write a bug report about it (request for enhancement). One of my colleagues has just asked me to see what I can do. The current situation is clearly not satisfying.

Mark mentioned our current maven deployment may help ..

After some bunches of bug fixes and features I currently work on
we hopefully also have us in the maven central.

Mark is right, Maven is useful to build such a plugin and/or to update it. Some developers do not want to use Maven but uses OSGI. Some other softwares relying on JOGL already have their own Eclipse plugins on the market. Do you know the guy who created the existing obsolete one? Should we create a plugin for JogAmp or just for JOGL?

Ah .. right, OSGI .. good ole times. So it's either one of these they use.

No.

Depends on granularity I guess.
Maybe as we do it for maven, i.e. one for GlueGen,
one for JOGL (which depends on GlueGen) .. then JOAL, JOCL.

Would be nice if they pick up this task.
Last time they Barb contacted me to discuss the license audit
which should end up taking JOGL etc to some Eclipse repository
to be used for their modules.
Then they would need to update it for each new release.
However, since Barb left Eclipse .. no more contact.
